Ask Congress to Oppose Job Killing Minimum Wage Legislation
Only weeks after President Obama's call for a $9 minimum wage during his State of the Union Address, the 113th Congress wasted little time in furthering his vision. Senator Tom Harkin and Congressman George Miller have since introduced legislation to increase the federal minimum wage to $10.10 per hour, increase the minimum cash wage for tipped employees to $7.07 per hour, and provide for future annual minimum wage increases tied to inflation. We are strongly concerned that this job killing legislation could erase the steady growth our industry has made in recent years and drive restaurants out of business. We need you to tell Congress that enough is enough!
